Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Board Leadership

Drive the strategic and creative direction of Pretty Purposed, and use your connections to elevate the work.

Before applying to be a board member:

Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per month 

Meeting Schedule: Quarterly (at least two are in person)

Application Opens: April-June

Onboarding/Training: July

Mentor

Empower girls through mentoring. Attend sessions and support girls through lessons, authentic conversation, and chaperoning field trips and activities. Become a volunteer mentor. Sign up here. 

Time Commitment: 4 hours per month 

Meeting Schedule: Twice a month with girls (days and times differ based on site)

Application Opens: April

Onboarding/Training: September 


Community Council

 
 

Development & Outreach Committee

Work with community members, our girls, and Pretty Purposed to support the creative and strategic direction of Pretty Purposed by lending your voice. Sign up here.

Time Commitment: About 12 hours annually

Meeting Schedule: Quarterly

Application Opens: November


Support Pretty Purposed through micro-volunteering opportunities such as helping set up events, tabling at outreach events, supporting administration tasks. Sign up here.

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours a month

Application Opens: all year long 

Virtual Onboarding/Training: July, October, January 

 

Event Specific Volunteer Opportunities

Annual Career Fair/Job Shadowing

Volunteer to set up a table at the career fair and share your career with girls or invite a small group of girls to your place of employment for some career talk and job shadowing. Our annual career fair is in March. Job shadowing can take place throughout the year. Sign up here.

Annual End of Year Tea Party

Volunteer to provide event support at our end of the year tea party for our girls, which is May 25th 2024. Sign up here.  


Annual Curriculum Box Packing & Distribution

Volunteer to help pack and distribute supplies for our curriculum boxes. We will update this page with the date.


Snack Distribution

Adopt a school and drop off healthy snacks/produce each session (twice a month)

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a month from October-May
